DHAKA – The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has officially announced the date for the release of its election manifesto ahead of the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election.
The party is set to present its comprehensive, long-term development roadmap and welfare-focused pledges to the nation this Friday, February 6.
Professor Dr. Moudud Hossain Alamgir Pavel, the Convener of the BNP Media Cell, confirmed the schedule to the press on Wednesday evening.
Key Highlights of the Manifesto
Earlier, at a special press briefing held in the capital, Mahdi Amin, spokesperson for the BNP Central Election Steering Committee and political advisor to the BNP Chairman, stated that the theoretical and practical frameworks of the manifesto have been successfully finalized.
According to Amin, the document reflects the aspirations of a wide range of citizens. He noted:
"As a people-oriented party, the BNP has spent considerable time engaging with various professions and communities to understand their grievances and expectations. This manifesto is a direct reflection of public opinion, and we believe it will introduce a new dimension to the country's political landscape."
Foundation and Focus Areas
The manifesto is built upon the foundation of the party’s previously proposed '31-point' and '27-point' state reform outlines. The party leadership emphasized that the document was refined through experiences gained from nationwide programs and grassroots interactions.
Prioritized sectors in the upcoming manifesto include:
