Chief Justice of Bangladesh, Honorable Justice Dr. Syed Refaat Ahmed, along with the Honorable Justices of both divisions of the Supreme Court— the Appellate Division and the High Court Division—paid tribute to the valiant martyrs of the Great Liberation War by placing wreaths at the National Martyrs’ Memorial in Savar at 7:05 am on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.
Following the Honorable President of the Republic and the Honorable Chief Adviser, the Honorable Chief Justice and the Justices of both divisions of the Supreme Court jointly laid floral wreaths at the memorial as a mark of deep respect and remembrance.
After placing the wreaths, the Honorable Chief Justice and the Honorable Justices of the Appellate Division and the High Court Division stood in solemn silence for a while, paying heartfelt homage to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the Great Liberation War of 1971.
